Point Gifts has been a cherished part of the Meridian, Mississippi community since 1951, when the store first opened as a neighborhood pharmacy founded by the current owner’s grandfather. In its early years, customers often gathered around the soda fountain while waiting for prescriptions, making the store a welcoming place for the community to connect. Ginger, became the first female pharmacist to graduate from the University of Mississippi, returned home to run the pharmacy. With this second generation came expanding the store to include home décor, holiday collections, and a wider variety of gifts, which quickly grew in popularity and led to the addition of bridal and baby registries in the early 80's. Growing up in the family business, the third generation and current owner, Jeanna, began working as a gift wrapper and then at the age of 16 became involved in buying, creating displays, and advertising. In 2015, Jeanna and her husband Bo became the new owners of Point Gifts. Today, Virginia, our fourth generation, has brought her unique eye for sorority gifts, home decor, art, furniture, social media, and graphic design. Point Gifts continues its long-standing tradition of helping families celebrate life’s special moments with unique gifts and personal service.
