Point Gifts has been a cherished part of the Meridian, Mississippi community since 1951, when the store first opened as a neighborhood pharmacy founded by the current owner’s grandfather. In its early years, customers often gathered around the soda fountain while waiting for prescriptions, making the store a welcoming place for the community to connect. During the 1970s, the owner’s grandmother introduced a selection of unique gifts, which quickly grew in popularity and led to the addition of bridal and baby registries. The owner’s mother later returned home to run the pharmacy and became the first female pharmacist to graduate from the University of Mississippi, expanding the store to include home décor, holiday collections, and a wider variety of gifts. Growing up in the family business, the current owner began working as a gift wrapper and model before later becoming involved in buying merchandise, creating displays, and designing advertising. Today, with a fourth generation involved, Point Gifts continues its long-standing tradition of helping families celebrate life’s special moments with unique gifts and personal service.
